Adam and The Metal Hawks, a band hailing from Long Island, NY are coming out of this pandemic swinging! These guys shot to viral fame, gaining MILLIONS of followers and views on TikTok and Instagram by putting out videos covering classic rock songs while using bowls on their band mates’ heads in place of drums. They just had Jack Black duet them on TikTok (seen here: https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMdrME27g/) And now that restrictions are being lifted they’re working in studio on an album and gearing up for live performances. It was an absolute joy speaking to these guys about how they formed their band, their lives during the pandemic, future plans, who they’d love to work with and of course, how Ryan was born. Enjoy!

Hard Rock Band
Since forming in 2019, this new hard rock band released their self-titled debut album in 2020 and became a viral social media sensation in 2021. AMH shows no signs of slowing down, and are ready to bring Rock ‘n Roll back to the top!
Adam Ezegelian, lead singer for AMH, has had rock energy fueling him since the day he was born. He was part of every school play and numerous extracurricular music programs like Jazz band and vocal Jazz ensembles growing up. But everything changed when Adam auditioned for American Idol in 2015 and ended up in the Top 16 of Season 14. He took his influences and love for rock and made people happy with his crazy voice and facial expressions. Adam merged with The Metal Hawks in early 2019 and they’ve had stellar rock chemistry ever since. His biggest influences are Aerosmith, Guns and Roses and AC/DC.
Johnny Barry, guitarist for AMH, has always had the vision of being in a rock band from such a young age. He picked up the guitar when he was 8 and hasn’t been able to stop since. At age 10, he started his first band, Metal Hawks, with two other kids who would later be replaced by current bandmates, Ryan Daversa on vocals and later bass, and Alex Hertler on drums. He met Ryan at a school talent show in 2014, and Alex at a music store where they both took lessons. His biggest influences are Van Halen, AC/DC, and Greta Van Fleet.

Ryan Daversa, bassist of AMH, has had music in his life since he was a baby, his parents having met in a recording studio. He encountered Metal Hawks at a school talent show when he was 14. When the opportunity came to audition for them, he hopped on it right away. He picked up bass 2 years later when he and his fellow bandmates, Johnny Barry and Alex Hertler, couldn’t find someone to fill that position, and he decided to do it himself as a bass-playing frontman. Once Adam took over singing duties, he shied away from his and began focusing more on bass. His biggest influences are Rush, Van Halen, and Led Zeppelin.
Musician
Alex Hertler, drummer of AMH, always showed a passion for music. When he was just 2, he banged on pots and pans every day after nursery school. He and his family later moved to Levittown, where he played drums with the school band, and needless to say, he was hooked. Before joining Metal Hawks in 2016, he played in numerous bands with music schools. He met future bandmate, Johnny Barry, at a music store they both took lessons at. Johnny would introduce him to Ryan Daversa, who he’d been playing with since 2014. The three of them have been playing together ever.
